Kiana A. Murat, an Engineering Intern at GFD, holds an Associates in Chemistry (2021) and possesses 9 months of experience. She has notably contributed to a Senior Design Project focused on building a device to capture wave power energy on a smaller, cost-effective scale. Kiana is affiliated with NSBE (FIU chapter Secretary) and ASCE as a member. Born and raised in Miami, Kiana has been a lifelong resident. Her diverse interests include playing basketball and running track, and she cherishes the company of her dog, Hershey. Kiana is an avid fan of mystery and crime shows and has a unique claim to fame as a former participant in a Fear Factor-style competition. Her willingness to take on challenges and apply critical thinking and human-centered design skills make her a valuable addition to the GFD team.
